The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 emphasizes the need for resilient infrastructure, inclusive industrialization, and innovation-driven growth. In the context of industrial robotic arm research, this goal highlights the importance of developing advanced technologies that can revolutionize industrial processes and enhance automation. Robotic arms are crucial components in modern manufacturing, where precision, speed, and efficiency are paramount. By advancing robotic arm capabilities through innovative technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep reinforcement learning, industries can achieve higher levels of automation, minimize human error, and increase production output, all while promoting sustainable and inclusive industrial practices.
From Monday to Wednesday, August 12-14, 2024, the Jakarta International Expo witnessed an extraordinary achievement by the “Ganyang Setan Alas” film team. Represented by Yusron Fuadi as the production supervisor, Andhika Rahmanu, a student of the 2022 cohort in the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Software Engineering, and M Ariq, an alumnus of the same program, they proudly showcased their work at the prestigious Gamecomm & Animation Expo 2024, a part of the Indonesian Innovation and Technology Event.
On August 9, 2024, UGM Vocational School took an important step in the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia. Unan Yusmaniar Oktiawati, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, together with Kun Hadibowo, a lecturer from the Department of Economics and Business, conducted a visit to Hyundai HMMI in Cikarang, Bekasi. This visit was part of a close collaboration with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in conducting a strategic study on electric vehicles.
The increasingly complex waste problem in Indonesia can be attributed to the lack of public awareness about the importance of waste management and changes in production and consumption patterns. To address this issue, UGM has developed a research roadmap focusing on Climate Change and Environmental Adaptation, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to Responsible Consumption and Production. A digital transformation utilizing mobile computing technology and smart devices, particularly the Internet of Things (IoT), is essential for a fast, accurate, and effective solution.
