Bukit Cubung, a popular tourist destination in Kulon Progo, faces challenges in maintaining adequate lighting for visitor safety and comfort, particularly at night. Under the leadership of Dr. Fitri Puspasari, S.Si., M.Sc., a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at SV UGM, a revitalization project for the existing Solar Power Plant (PLTS) was undertaken to address these issues. This initiative included the installation of two new solar panels with a total capacity of 580W and an increase in the number of batteries to four units with a 100Ah capacity each, ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy supply. The revitalization aimed to restore optimal system functionality, provide stable electricity, and enhance energy efficiency. The upgraded solar panels improve energy absorption, reduce dependency on the PLN grid, and promote renewable energy awareness. This project successfully transforms Bukit Cubung into a more eco-friendly and secure destination for visitors.
