Yogyakarta — The Department of Electrical and Informatics Engineering (DTEDI), Vocational College, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomed a visit from SMA Negeri 3 Lumajang as part of an academic exposure and higher education introduction program. The visit took place from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB at DTEDI SV UGM.
The program began with participant arrival and registration at the department building, followed by a screening of the DTEDI SV UGM profile video. Participants also attended a safety induction session as an introduction to the campus environment.
The event was officially opened by the MC and continued with welcoming remarks from representatives of SMA Negeri 3 Lumajang and DTEDI SV UGM. During the main session, participants received a presentation about the department profile, study programs, as well as the student admission system at the UGM Vocational College, providing insights into admission pathways and opportunities for higher education.
The session became more engaging through an interactive discussion and Q&A session between participants and speakers. Students showed strong enthusiasm by asking various questions related to academic life, facilities, and career prospects.
The visit concluded with a token exchange and group documentation. Participants were then invited to join a facility tour, visiting laboratories and campus areas to experience DTEDI’s academic environment firsthand.
Through this visit, it is hoped that students from SMA Negeri 3 Lumajang gain broader insights into higher education and are motivated to pursue further studies.
