On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the D4 Internet Engineering Technology and D4 Software Engineering Technology programs at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a Kapita Selekta public lecture titled “Future Talks: Talks for Future Work and Advanced Study.” The event, which ran from 2:00 to 4:00 PM WIB, was conducted online and attended by 135 participants. This session was part of the SHARING ALUMNI × STUDIUM GENERALE, an initiative by the Public Relations and Kastrad Division of FORKOM TRI, in collaboration with CTI Group. The event was moderated by Akhliqa Zahira and opened by Haikal Yusuf Azzam, MC from the D4 Internet Engineering Technology program’s FORKOM.
Micheel Kalalo, Talent Acquisition Officer from CTI Group, initiated the session by presenting an overview of CTI Group, highlighting their contributions in the field of information technology. The presence of alumnus Mahbubi Hamdani as the main speaker enriched the discussion with his practical experiences and insights. Currently serving as a Cloud Engineer & Customer Experience at Btech, Mahbubi presented on the theme “Smart Path Becomes a Cloud Computing Engineer,” guiding participants on the steps to enter this profession.
Mahbubi provided a detailed explanation of the role of a Cloud Engineer, including the necessary preparations and promising career opportunities in the field. He also shared tips for students aspiring to enter the world of cloud computing, emphasizing the importance of mastering current technologies and maintaining high adaptability. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A and an engaging game that energized the atmosphere, encouraging active participation from attendees.
