Unan Yusmaniar Oktiawati, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer in the D4 Internet Engineering Program at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Vocational School, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), recently undertook a five-day academic visit to Japan. The visit aimed to present scientific research findings and explore collaboration opportunities with several renowned universities in Japan.
During the visit, Unan participated in the 14th International Symposium in Architectural Interchange in Asia held at Kyoto University from September 11 to 13, 2024. At this international forum, Unan presented research focusing on the development of internet engineering technologies within the context of architecture and infrastructure, attended by academics and researchers from various countries.
Following the symposium, on September 14, 2024, Unan continued the visit to Hiroshima University to discuss potential research collaborations with Prof. Tetsu Kubota. This discussion aimed to explore collaborative projects that could make significant contributions to both institutions.
Additionally, Unan met with Prof. Takaguchi at Waseda University to discuss energy-related issues. This meeting was a strategic step in building a broader research network, particularly in the increasingly vital field of energy. The visit is expected to open new opportunities for research development at UGM and enhance the institution’s international reputation.
